Little by little, Jared Leto’s physical transformation for his latest role has been unveiled for all to see by both he and SUICIDE SQUAD director David Ayer.
But with it being The Joker’s 75th birthday, Ayer has finally revealed the first official photo of Leto as the DC Comics’ villain.
Still sporting the trademark green hair and gloved hand, there are significant changes to the character. With capped teeth and crazed laughter tattooed on his body, his forehead tattoo reading “Damaged” is certainly apt. But the most noticeable revision is the iconic facial scarring, or lack of. Previously worn by Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger in the earlier BATMAN films, the Chelsea Smile seems to have been scrapped.
