Fans of THE HITMAN’S BODYGUARD will be pleased to hear that production has officially wrapped on the next installment, THE HITMAN’S WIFE’S BODYGUARD. Ryan Reynolds took to social media to confirm it’s finished and also shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the action-comedy sequel.
The actor confirmed that he has officially finished on Lionsgate’s movie stating: ‘That’s a wrap for me! Gonna miss kicking rocks with these two. Been down a lotta roads together.’ The two he is referring to is Samuel L. Jackson (CAPTAIN MARVEL) and Salma Hayek (DRUNK PARENTS).
THE HITMAN’S WIFE’S BODYGUARD boasts a superb cast with Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby), Antonio Banderas (The Mask of Zorro), Frank Grillo (The Purge) and Tom Hopper (The Umbrella Academy) all starring in the movie.
If you haven’t seen the first film starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson, or don’t know much about it, well it tells the story of the world’s top protection agent (Ryan Reynolds). He is called upon to guard the life of his mortal enemy, one of the world’s most notorious hitmen (Samuel L. Jackson). The relentless bodyguard and manipulative assassin have been on the opposite end of the bullet for years and are thrown together for a wildly outrageous 24 hours.
During their raucous and hilarious adventure from England to the Hague, they encounter high-speed car chases, outlandish boat escapades and a merciless Eastern European dictator (Gary Oldman) who is out for blood. Salma Hayek joins the mayhem as Jackson’s equally notorious wife.
