Fans of Cristiano Ronaldo, be prepared to see the man who is already a star on the pitch, become a star of the big screen – but he’s not acting, it’s for his documentary, RONALDO.

The Real Madrid player can now be seen for the first time in a two-minute trailer, which follows his life over a year.

The Portuguese international allowed a film crew to have unprecedented access to his private and public life over for 14 months, to produce an all-telling documentary, which will be shown around the world.

RONALDO will give the audience snippets of his life both on and off the pitch, whilst also spending time with his son.

The documentary was made by the makers of another impressive sports documentary, SENNA, as well as the Amy Winehouse film AMY.

We don’t have long to wait until the documentary’s released, as it hits cinemas in November, and the three-time Ballon d’Or winner, is expected to attend the film’s premiere in London.

The film includes interviews with those closest to the player and also, the audience will see footage of him as a child and montages of his career.

Over the course of the year’s footage we see pivotal moments in his career such as Real Madrid reaching ‘la decima’ – their tenth European cup – and the trailer ends on one of the sweetest scenes of all, as we see his son Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr. saying ‘I’m going to be a goalkeeper. Okay dad?’ The Real Madrid star responds: ‘A goalkeeper. Are you joking?’

Ronaldo
RONALDO will be released in cinemas worldwide 9 November 2015.
