A prosperous and ever-growing Production Company determined to promote diversity and the power of female film-makers is River Crossing Productions, who announced their upcoming slate of projects.
With Actress and Producer Alida Pantone joining the team as Head of Development, the latest project is a brand-new short film called ‘IRENE: TAPPING THE RHYTHM OF LIFE’ , which tells of 86-year old Mrs. Irene Hayes, a woman who has been awarded the British Empire Medal for running the Superarts Academy since 1962 – and continues to teach at the Academy in her later years.
Next up is a film called ‘PIE’ , written by Rachele Fregonese, which takes a different perspective on male and female relationships and how to conquer the male mentality in a quirkier way. In addition, it celebrates female independence and a desire to subvert the outdated stereotypes that still thrive in the modern world.

Reflecting on the potential impact of the film ‘PIE’, Pretolani said thus:
“Once again in “PIE” we will have the pleasure to work with well established creatives and artists such as award winner composer Emilio Merone and Costume Designer Maurizio Basile (The Portrait of a Lady; Sense and Sensibility).”
Pretolani formed River Crossing in 2016, following the success of the New York-based Production Company PAHNI Productions, which was founded in 1997. The new company has a busy summer ahead of what is clearly shaping up to be a bright beginning and the key to an equally prosperous and thriving future.

Their award-winning short ‘The Glove’ is still doing the Short Film Festival Circuit and two other productions are in the works, with rumours of a feature film called ‘The Cook’ scheduled for 2020.
