We are big fans of producer David Heyman here at Film and TV Now and his work on the HARRY POTTER movies, PADDINGTON and TESTAMENT OF YOUTH to name but a few, so it has been great to hear he has been discussing J.K. Rowling’s FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM. The British producer has revealed that filming is set to get underway on the project this summer.
If that isn’t enough to get us excited, Heyman has also confirmed that he will reunite once more with Stuart Craig, the production designer who brought the world of Hogwarts to life in the popular HARRY POTTER franchise.
Heyman shared the details with Collider:
“The experience of conjuring up these worlds is such fun,” says Heyman “So to do it with [Rowling] and with Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram is involved too, and with David Yates, and Stuart Craig will be designing it… it’s great. It’s exciting, and it’s a great world to return to.”
The producing genius also announced the production dates for the film and it seems we don’t have long to wait…
“The plan is to shoot late summer. We’re making just one film, but I believe there’s been talk about it being three. But we’re just talking about it as one.”
With so much expertise and visionary genius in Heyman, we have no doubt that the film could prove to be quite a success…
