I think this documentary is going to be huge, as we’re given an inside glimpse at one of the most dangerous adventures that one man can go through. Point and Shoot follows the story of Matt VanDyke, a quiet twenty six year old with OCD. In 2006, Matt decided to push his boundaries by purchasing a motorcycle and video camera and began travelling through Northern Africa the Middle East over three years. He filmed the lot. 

Matt was in Libya when the revolution broke out and formed an unlikely friend in a mild-mannered Libyan hippie. He went on to join his new friend in the fight against Muammar Gaddafi, armed with a gun and his trusty video camera, Matt fought in the war until he was captured, imprisoned and held in solitary confinement for six month.  

Academy Award nominated director, Marshall Curry, tells Matt’s story of fear and danger in this life changing story. I defy any of you not to watch the trailer and not get a knot in your stomach, I’m already desperate to know what happened to him.

POINT AND SHOOT is about to do the film festival circuit so for now, we’ll just have to wait.
