Paul Feig Play-Doh

We can’t quite believe that we are saying this, but there is a live-action Play-Doh movie in development – yes you read that correctly – about Play-Doh.

According to Deadline 20th Century Fox is working on a deal with Hasbro to bring the iconic toy brand into cinemas.

The film is set to be brought to the big screen by GHOSTBUSTERS director Paul Feig from a script penned by Jason Micallef.

Films of a similar vein as this such as Warner Bros THE LEGO MOVIE, have enjoyed worldwide success which has warranted further demand and as a result a sequel is in the pipeline and various spinoffs.

Hasbro will produce the film in partnership with Chernin Entertainment and Feig’s Feigco banner.

Feig has got a busy few months coming up, as his latest film, a CIA comedy called SPY starring Melissa McCarthy, will arrive in cinemas on June 5th.
