All about M.O.D.O.K.

Several adult-oriented Marvel animated series are in development at Hulu, one of which is M.O.D.O.K.

The official description for the series reads:

“In Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., M.O.D.O.K, an egomaniacal Super Villain with a really big head and a really little body, struggles to maintain control of his evil organization and his demanding family. “Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K.” comes from writers Jordan Blum and Patton Oswalt, with Blum, Oswalt and Jeph Loeb serving as Executive Producers.”

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, George Tarleton was a lowly member of A.I.M (Advanced Idea Mechanics) until he underwent mutagenic medical experimentation to increase his intelligence. The process transformed him into M.O.D.O.K. (Mental/Mobile Organism Designed Only for Killing). Without wasting any time, the villain took over the organisation and launched numerous ‘mad science’ schemes that were thwarted by Captain America, the Hulk, Iron Man, and the Avengers.

Appearing as a guest on Late Night with Seth Myers, Oswalt teased a little more about what viewers could expect from the show, and M.O.D.O.K’s character: “I’m going to be voicing him. He is a supervillain, he has super-intelligence, he has a forehead beam, he has all this technology. But, he is not on the A-level of Doctor Doom, and the Red Skull. So, not only does he hate all the heroes, he hates all the other villains because he’s so resentful. Getting to play that is going to be really fun.”

Only on Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. will viewers find out if an evil giant head with tiny arms can achieve his goals of world domination and revenge on everyone with average-sized body parts.

Hulu’s adult-oriented Marvel lineup up also includes: Howard the Duck, Tigra and Dazzler, and Hit-Monkey. Followed by The Offenders, a team-up event, mirroring the structure of Marvel’s Netflix originals.
