Suru recently attended an Award Ceremony for the Prix Angèle 2021 as PIFF Festival Representative.

Reflecting on the event, Suru said:

I had the honor of representing the Paris International Film Festival for the Award Ceremony of the Prix Angèle 2021, which goes to an exceptional performance, non-gender, to honor a role that shakes up the codes of today’s cinema.

This year, the Angèle Prize went to Cyrine Jarretie for her exceptional interpretation of Isis in Patient 27.

I warmly thank Frédéric Simonin, Meilleur Ouvrier de France 2019, who welcomed us into the doors of his magnificent Michelin-starred Parisian restaurant, and his team, Guillaume Levasseur, Pastry Chef at the restaurant who created this impressive piece assembled especially for the evening.

A big thank you to the partners of this evening, Metro France, Brand Me More, and to all the participants for your excellent feedback.”

Jarretie had this to say:

“The Angèle Prize is a bit like a response from heaven to the tears of the soul for this film ‘Patient 27’, it is doing justice to the expression of cinematographic art and the values it defends.”
