The 2023 Edition of the Paris International Film Festival has just had its’ end of festival awards, which were announced by Festival Director Jenna Suru on February 15th, 2023
The event, which pioneered a brilliant online event during the lockdown, was back to a more live version with rewarding results.
The awards were as follows:
Feature Films
Little Jar by Dominic Lopez – produced by Kelsey Gunn who also stars, picked up the following four awards –
- Best Feature
- Best Director
- Best Writer
- Best ActorÂ
In the Shorts Categories, the awards were as follows:
- Best Short – Sissy by Eitan Pitigliani
- Best Short For Change – Bienvenidos in Los Angeles by Lisa Cole
- Best Director – The Ringmaster by Maya Albanese
- Best Writer – Psychoz Twins Perrotte
- Best Actor – A Mind Cannot Touch, Paget Kagy
- Prix Angèle – Seiva Bruta by Gustavo Milan, Samy Castilloh
- Jury Award – Seiva Bruta by Gustavo Milan
In the Screenplay Categories, the awards were as follows:
- Best Feature Screenplay – This Is Not A Screenplay by Mark Axelrod-Sokolov
- Best Feature Screenplay For Change – Typhoid Maria by Timothy Porter
- ISA Story Award – Coinrunner by Lisa N Edwards
- Best Short Screenplay – The Peach by Elena Kritter
