The classic dynamic of ‘he said, she said’ is explored against the backdrop of a dramatic hospital situation in the new subtitled short NOUS DEUX OU BIEN RIEN – US TWO, OR NOTHING.

What starts out as nothing more than a casual cab pick-up for Didier (Didier Forest), arriving at the hospital where his partner works, turns into something more significant when his pick-up a young woman and her daughter (Amandine Gaymard, Eowyn Personne) hastily get into his car. The woman is in tears and concerned about how the police see her, but as the story unfolds, it is unclear what is actually transpiring until a shocking twist reveals itself…..

Writer/director Karina Beuthe Orr’s simple but involving drama focuses on the effect of domestic violence against the backdrop of open spaces which contrast with the claustrophobic restrictions these characters inhabit.
