Noomi Rapace is a lady in demand at the moment. The actress, who is currently busy promoting new film CHILD 44 alongside Tom Hardy, will be starring in new film RUPTURE.
Having already featured in sci-fi flick PROMETHEUS, she will once again be starring in the lead role of another sci-fi adventure thriller from AMBI Group – the movie development, finance, production and distribution group owned and run by Andrea Iervolino and Lady Monika Bacardi.
AMERICAN SNIPER producer Andrew Lazar will be working on the project, but for the moment, the plot details remain closely guarded. All we know is that Rapace will play a single mother who, struggling to raise her son alone, is abducted by a mysterious organisation. While trying to escape, she uncovers an extraordinary secret about herself.
Steven Shainberg is directing the film, which he co-wrote with 30 DAYS OF NIGHT’s Brian Nelson.
AMBI Distribution, the worldwide sales arm of AMBI Group is handling international sales and will formally present the project in Cannes.
Production for RUPTUREÂ will commence in June and no doubt we will hear of further casting additions over the coming weeks.
