Just the trailer is giving me goose bumps, 2015 is going to be the year of Jack O’Connell.
Based on the non-fiction book by Laura Hillenbrand, the narrative revolves around Olympic runner Louis ‘Louie’ Zampernini, a War Hero who spends 2 and a half years in a Japanese War Prison Camp after surviving a plan crash and spending 47 days on a raft.
O’Connell’s commitment to his character is instantly apparent in the trailer, no doubt this will be one of the most emotionally draining performances he has given. Oscar buzz, perhaps?
This war drama is directed by non other than Academy Award Winner, Angelina Jolie and also stars Luke Tredaway, Jai Courtney and Finn Wittrock. UNBROKENÂ is out in UK Cinema’s December 26th 2014.
