Fox Searchlight Pictures has just released a clip from director Rupert Goold’s TRUE STORY, starring Jonah Hill, James Franco and Felicity Jones, which you can watch below.
True Story is based on Finkel’s own memoir, “True Story: Murder, Memoir, Mea Culpa,” published in 2006 and in the clip below, we witness the first encounter between Hill’s Michael Finkel and Franco’s Christian Longo.
TRUE STORY sees disgraced New York Times reporter Michael Finkel (Jonah Hill) meets accused killer Christian Longo (James Franco) – who has taken on Finkel’s identity – his investigation morphs into an unforgettable game of cat-and-mouse. Based on actual events, Finkel’s relentless pursuit of Longo’s true story encompasses murder, love, and deceit.

TRUE STORY marks the big screen directorial debut of Goold, best known for his directing work on the British stage. The film hits cinemas July 17th, 2015.
