Entertainment One has released the UK trailer and poster for Chris Morris’s THE DAY SHALL COME. Check out the footage in the video player below alongside the new poster.
Based on 100 true stories, the explosive new film from Chris Morris (Four Lions, Brass Eye) is an emotionally gripping, laugh out loud thriller that exposes the dark farce at the heart of the homeland security project: It is harder to catch a real terrorist than it is to manufacture your own.
The Day Shall Come follows the story of Moses Al Shabaz (Marchánt Davis), a political activist who runs a mission in the Miami projects with his wife Venus. Moses bans guns from his community, fights crime and harbors dreams of a government overthrow, but he also struggles financially. In order to save his family from eviction, he accepts $50,000 in return for taking possession of illegal guns for his “revolution.” Unbeknownst to Moses, his sponsor works for the FBI.
The film also stars Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect franchise) as Kendra Glack, Danielle Brooks (Orange is the New Black) as Venus, Denis O’Hare (Take Me Out) as Andy Mudd, Jim Gaffigan (Drunk Parents) as Lemmy, Miles Robbins, Pej Vahdat (Bones) as Nura, Adam David Thompson as Stevie, Kayvan Noval (Fonejacker) as Reza the shopkeeper, Mousa Kraish (Munich), James Adomian as Settmonk and Malcolm Mays as X.
