Very little is said, but enough has been seen to tease us…
With the release of the next Hunger Games installment, MOCKINGJAY, just weeks away,  Lionsgate has dropped a new teaser that shows us what really happened to District 12. Â
With Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) reluctant to take on the Mockingjay role, Plutarch Heavensbee and Alma Coin, played by Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Julianne Moore, must find a way to get a reaction out of her, and convince her to join them in the rebellion against the Capitol.Â
At the beginning of the trailer Plutarch and Alma decide that sending her to District 12 and seeing what the Capitol did, is the only way to get her to become the Mockingjay. As Katniss is dropped off, she must witness the destruction site that District 12 has become, under the hands of President Snow. They believe “she won’t be able to handle it…” Do you?
The district is in ashes, the site a bleak and hollow place. Katniss walks through the rubble to her home, where she is confronted with one single white, blooming rose. A gift from Snow. Will she fight now?
Lionsgate has set the film’s world premiere for November 10th at London’s Leicester Square and plans to launch a press tour beginning in Beijing, with stops in Seoul, London, New York and Los Angeles with the cast including Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Sam Claflin all expected to take part.
The Mockingjay movie opens in the UK on November 20th. Until then, enjoy the new teaser…
