50-cent

So if filing for bankruptcy was not enough drama for Curtis Jackson also known as the rapper 50 Cent, the G Unit star has now had a lawsuit filed against him for apparently copying the whole concept of his new hit TV series entitled POWER.

Way back In 2005, its alleged that an author who goes by the name of Larry Johnson sent his idea in form of a manuscript to a contact a G-Unit Books. Larry Johnson named his manuscript ‘Tribulation Of A Ghetto Kid’ and believes that the New York kingpin has taken his manuscript all these years later to turn it into what is known now as the TV series POWER.

According to the suit, there are many similarities between POWER and TRIBULATION. Funnily enough it seems the main characters each have “goatees” and both project’s central supporting character (Tommy in POWER) have short tempers.

Nightclubs are featured in POWER and TRIBULATION as well. Plus, Johnson wrote his book under the pen name “Ghost” which is also the alias of drug dealer/businessman James St. Patrick in Power. Coincedience surely not ?

Larry “The Ghost” Johnson has also written other books including the Tribulation Of A Ghetto Kid II and Tribulation Of A Ghetto Kid III. He also released Mass Appeal, The Thrill, and Cold Blooded. Johnson is seeking $200 million in his pursuit of sueing against Mr Curtis 50 Cent Jackson, what’s next for the highly dramatic rapper?
