Twentieth Century Fox has announced the theatrical release date of MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES in the UK and Ireland – the film will hit the big screen on Friday 12th August.
The film tells the story of hard-partying brothers Mike (Adam Devine) and Dave (Zac Efron), who place an online ad to find the perfect dates (Anna Kendrick, Aubrey Plaza) for their sister’s Hawaiian wedding. Hoping for a wild getaway, the boys instead find themselves outsmarted and out-partied by the uncontrollable duo.
The raunchy comedy is being brought to the big screen by TV director Jake Szymanski, best known for his work on “SNL” and “Funny or Die,” and has directed the comedy from a script by Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien, with Peter Chernin, David Ready, Jenno Topping and Jonathan Levine producing.
Zac Efron is certainly no stranger to this type of genre of film, as he was recently seen on the big screen in DIRTY GRANDPA alongside Robert DeNiro and is currently shooting BAYWATCH opposite Dwayne Johnson.
