The promotion wheels are in full swing for the upcoming movie GHOSTBUSTERS – and now Sony has released brand new posters featuring the new Ghostbusters characters, which you can see above and below.
GHOSTBUSTERS has a stellar cast with the likes of Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy and Leslie Jones on board and will most definitely bring the laughs. You can see them suited and booted and in action in their posters.
Of course, it is not just an all-girl affair, GHOSTBUSTERS also stars Chris Hemsworth as the new secretary, Andy Garcia as the Mayor of New York City, Michael K. Williams as a character named “Hawkins,” Matt Walsh plays a character named “Rourke,” and Neil Casey is the villain of the movie. New York City’s NY1 news anchor Pat Kiernan is also set to appear as news anchor in the film.
Each of the four posters feature close-up spot color shots of one the main cast, along with the movie’s logo and tagline, “Who you gonna call…?”
Each shot also features a piece of familiar GHOSTBUSTERS iconography — the proton pack, the particle thrower, the ghost trap and the team’s logo — and between grimaces and poses, we see a few hints of their character’s personality.
GHOSTBUSTERS has been directed by Paul Feig from a script he co-wrote with Katie Dippold.
So much attention has already been garnered ahead of the film’s release – and not all of it has been positive. Hopefully upon the release of the trailer and clips, the film will give us a good indication of what we can expect from the heroes of the film.
GHOSTBUSTERS is scheduled for release July 15th, 2016.
