Suburbicon

George Clooney looks to his friends for his cast members of SUBURBICON.

Things seem to be falling into place for George Clooney’s next project SUBURBICON, as the film has reportedly found some of its cast members…

According to DeadlineJosh Brolin, Matt Damon and Julianne Moore are in negotiations to star in the project. The movie will be based on an original script by Joel and Ethan Coen, and it has been eyed by Clooney as a directing project for more than a decade, which is now set up by Sony’s TriStar Pictures.

Previously described as “a noir drama in the vein of the Coens’ breakout film ‘Blood Simple,’” SUBURBICON is reportedly set in the 1950s and Clooney is also rumoured to star in the film.

It is not the first time that Brolin, Damon and Moore have all worked with the Coen brothers: Moore starred in THE BIG LEBOWSKI, Damon in TRUE GRIT, and Brolin in both TRUE GRIT and NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN.

SUBURBICON will not be the first time that Clooney has stepped behind the cameras, as he called the shots in the 2014 World War II drama THE MONUMENTS MEN (which also starred Damon – of course it did!).
