Stan Lee, the real-life superhero of the Marvel universe has died aged 95 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles.

Lee was the legendary chief writer and editor of Marvel Comics who helped to create some of the infamous superheroes of our era. The writer can also be credited for being a tour de force of the comic-book industry in the 1960s and early ’70s.

Lee’s journey in the world of comics began back in 1939 and he helped to make Marvel even more infamous amongst the world of comics and movies. Stan Lee played a key role in the creation of heroes such as Black Panther, Spider-Man, the X-Men, Thor, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk, Daredevil and Ant-Man, amongst many others.

Times have been good for Marvel who have enjoyed so many successes under his watchful eye, such as The Walt Disney Co’s purchase of Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion back in 2009.

Lee helped to create the heroes of the top-grossing superhero films (in which he often made cameo appearances) of all time and for that we are eternally thankful.

Film and TV Now would like to offer his family and loved ones our condolences during this sad time. His brain and enthusiasm will never be forgotten.
