Will Scarlett Johansson be adding another film to her growing list of roles?
It seems like leading lady Scarlett Johansson may be taking on a brand new role in a live action version of the cult classic GHOST IN THE SHELL.Â
Based on the 1995 film and the original Manga comic, the GHOST IN THE SHELL movie needs a kick-ass female lead to play a cyborg heroine. It was reported that WOLF OF WALL STREET’s Margo Robbie was up for the challenge but now appears to be setting her sights else where, like the up and coming SUICIDE SQUAD MOVIE.
Now rumour has it that Scarlett has been offered a reported $10 Million to play the beloved character. Em, if that kind of money’s being thrown around, I’ll happily get my cyborg on, thanks!
Johansson has been playing some killer parts recently, including Marvel’s BLACK WIDOW, female warrior in LUCY and alien temptress in UNDER THE SKIN. A cyborg heroine will be right up her street then, surely? I’d love to see her donning some futuristic get up and manning a menacing fire-arm, taking names! Girl power.Â
No word yet on how close she is to signing the deal, at least director, Rupert Sanders, knows we’re on call if Johansson doesn’t take…
