Our partnership with one of London’s best festivals continues on October 12th with a screening of a new film in the calendar.
The London Independent Film Festival (LIFF) is devoted to the advancement of first – and second – time filmmakers telling amazing stories with limited budgets. As such they have made it their mission to host a regular programme of events all year round.
At the end of August 2023, LIFF hosted the Female Film Club to celebrate their third birthday with a networking party at Genesis Cinema. It was a huge success and resulted in a number of new filmmakers joining the Female Film Club, as well as lots of Female Film Club members knowing more about LIFF.

In September, LIFF put together a networking event as part of Fragments Festival. This again was a way for film-makers to find out more about each festival and opportunities available to them.Â
On Thursday October 12th LIFF will have its first screening outside of the festival with THEÂ EYE directed by Daphne Schmon.

Festival Director Natasha Marburger (above) is passionate about helping filmmakers take their next steps.
She says “it is important to create opportunities for independent filmmakers. Whether it’s finding collaborators, watching films, supporting each other, or learning something new – it’s so invaluable to independent creatives to have that, and LIFF aims to provide it.”Â
The main festival is hosted every spring at the Genesis cinema – repeatedly voted the best cinema in the UK – the 2024 London Independent Film Festival will screen the work of over 100 filmmakers from around the world.
Stretching over 10 days with numerous industry events, LIFF offers an unmissable opportunity for networking and building collaborations for future projects. It’s little wonder that Time Out Magazine has called LIFF “a treasure trove of undiscovered cinematic gems, one of Europe’s top indie film fests.”
