Film And TV Now have been championing the debut feature of Jenna Suru, an independent romantic period drama called L’AGE D’OR / THE GOLDEN AGE, since it’s UK Premiere at the London Independent Film Festival (LIFF) 2020, one of the last film festivals to take place in a live environment before lock-down due to COVID-19 – at the time of this year’s edition in March.
The film is a celebration and homage to St. Tropez – and follows two people from different continents discovering themselves – and the joys of art when they meet in Paris in the late 1960s when the world was undergoing tremendous change.
The film certainly is generating considerable buzz online and in festival circles – and was well received at its’ London Premiere.
Suru can be seen here in conversation with Meg Elys at LIFF 2020 for THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE MAD podcast, where she talks about the film and other elements of the film-making process.
