Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line have released the hilarious first red band trailer for Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele’s comedy feature KEANU, which you can take a look at in the video player above.
Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, a.k.a. the hugely popular comedy duo Key & Peele, star as Clarence and Rell, two cousins who live in the city but are far from streetwise. When Rell’s beloved kitten, Keanu (presumably named after the JOHN WICK star), is catnapped, the hopelessly straight-laced pair must impersonate ruthless killers in order to infiltrate a street gang and retrieve the purloined feline. But the incredibly adorable kitten becomes so coveted that the fight over his custody creates a gang war, forcing our two unwitting heroes to take the law into their own hands.
The film co-stars Will Forte (Nebraska, “The Last Man on Earth”), Method Man (The Cobbler, The Sitter) and Gabrielle Union (Top Five, Think Like a Man Too).
Scripted by Alex Rubens and Peele, KEANU is directed by Peter Atencio, who has directed episodes of both “Key & Peele” and “The Last Man on Earth.”
