JURASSIC WORLD hasn’t even stormed onto the big screen yet, but co-writer and director Colin Trevorrow has already decided not to call the shots in a possible sequel.

Speaking to badtaste.it at the film’s Paris premiere, Trevorrow said “Jurassic Park should be a franchise like Star Wars, with several directors capable of giving different footprints.”

However, Trevorrow added that he won’t simply be walking away from the franchise, stating “I would remain involved in some way, but not as director.

The long-awaited Colin Trevorrow-directed film is being released after a long gap of more than 10 years from the release of the preceding version, JURASSIC PARK III, which had hit the screens in 2001. Steven Spielberg was the esteemed director of the first two films in the much-acclaimed series and has now taken up the role of co-producer in this installment, just like he had done for JURASSIC PARK III.

The fourth release in the series tells the story of genetically modified dinosaur, Indominus Rex, who runs wild on the Isla Nubar Island where Jurassic Park has been converted to a theme park, twenty-two years after the incident.

Opening in 3D, 2D and IMAX cinemas, JURASSIC WORLD stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, BD Wong, and Judy Greer.

The cast and director have been busy of late with their promotions of the movie and you can watch the highlights below of what they had to say about the film at a press conference in Paris shortly after the movie received its world premiere in the city of lights.
