The prize for the most badass tweet ever goes to… Jon Bernthal.
As many of you will know Jon Bernthal will be playing The Punisher in season 2 of Netflix‘s DAREDEVIL. The rights to the character of Frank Castle recently reverted back to Marvel –Â similar to the SPIDER-MANÂ situation – Marvel couldn’t include The Punisher in any of their cinematic content for a while despite him being in their comics because the on-screen rights to the character belonged to someone else. Marvel quite rightly decided that the brutal anti-hero would be a much better fit for the grittier and more adult TV series on Netflix than the Marvel Studios movies. Marvel also know that Bernthal has some experience with playing unhinged, violent characters due to his amazing turn in THE WALKING DEADÂ as Shane.
As production on DAREDEVIL SEASON 2 rolls on Bernthal is tweeting about his role as The Punisher. His tweets have included images of the material he is reading in preparation.
However his best tweet yet was his recent image of the inside of The Punisher’s armoury. The image shows a lot of guns, possibly more guns than I have ever seen in one place. The image was accompanied by the caption: “PUNISH”.
