ITV Gives New Jekyll & Hyde TV Show The Green Light

A new Jekyll & Hyde action-adventure show has been commissioned by ITV feature the famous Robert Louise Stevenson characters. 

Written by Charlie Higson (THE FAST SHOW) the new show will be a mixed genre of science fiction, fantasy, horror and adventure. 

Taking an interesting approach to the story, the show will be set in 1930’s London, just as we’re introduced to Robert Jekyll, the Grandson of the original doctor. 

After unknowingly inheriting the monstrous condition, Jekyll must come to terms with his ever changing, increasingly dangerous alter ego- Mr. Hyde. 

With further plot details yet to be confirmed, the jury is out on this one, but with BEING HUMAN’s director Colin Teague on the cast, we’ve got high hopes. 

This isn’t the first time Stevenson’s famous story has been taking to the silver screen. One of the most recent adaptations was the BBC’s mini-series, JEKYLL (2007), starring James Nesbit, Gina Bellman and David Lawson. 

There’s no official release date yet, but with production set for January, we’re excited for some new telly to obsess with!
