We hear so many things on a daily basis about Bond, who may be the next star to play the titular character and who may be at the helm of the movie. Well now, there is talk that Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who created, wrote and starred in the mighty popular BBC show FLEABAG, has been brought in to liven up the script.

It has been reported that her involvement in BOND 25 may have been down to Daniel Craig‘s eagerness to get her on board.

The rumours have all come about from, yep you guessed it, ‘a source’. Currently, Waller-Bridge is in New York performing a stage version of FLEABAG, which is where Craig, AKA 007, lives with his wife Rachel Weisz. Rumour has it that they are big fans of FLEABAG and KILLER EVE so it may come as no to surprise to hear that he may want her on board, but how much of it is true?

Well, when those in the know were contacted, it was reported that Eon Productions which produce the Bond films, nor representatives of Waller-Bridge in the US, responded. Well, we aren’t too surprised to hear that as we know how they like to keep things under wraps.

It was also reported that Craig’s agent in the US also kept quiet about the rumours, stating: “I’m not the guy to talk of rumours.”

We think it would be great if Waller-Bridge really is involved in penning the script and we hope that it does get confirmed soon. Either way, time is pressing on and they won’t want to miss another release date. Production should be starting soon in order to achieve completion for the April release date next year.

What do you think of the latest rumours? Do you think it would be good to have Phoebe Waller-Bridge penning the script? As always, we like to know your thoughts, so leave a comment below, tweet us @filmandtvnow or drop us a comment on our Facebook page.
