Miguela Charlery started acting from the age of eight and attended Anna Scher Theatre School – most recently known as The Young Actors Theatre in Islington, London.
After finding a love for their arts and creativity, Miguela started her modelling career at 16 years. Being of a mixed Spanish/St Lucian heritage, Miguela speaks fluent Spanish. Her acting career has seen her feature and star in roles across film, commercials, and theatre such as Girls on a mission in 2006.
Miguela has also spent some time presenting for ITN Shoreditch TV, showcasing all of the amazing things to do throughout the borough of Hackney. Some of Miguela’s passions include dancing, she also spends her time teaching dance classes from time to time.
In Silent Witness, Miguela played a murder victim who was a mother and killed by her friend who couldn’t have children and had her eyes on her character’s family. Miguela also featured in Small Axe, as Aunt Cynthia, which is a true story about writer Alex Wheatle and his time in prison after the Brixton riots.
Feature film The Sun Also Rises was Miguela’s most recent feature role. Her character Sandra is a mother and is in an abusive relationship with her daughter’s father. Miguela has expressed that the role of Sandra was an honour for her to play.
