Having begun making short films aged just 13, Howard directed his first feature film at 21, the gritty crime thriller ‘Mainline Run’ Starring Hugo Speer of ‘The Full Monty’ fame. Following his second feature film, the noir thriller ‘Distant Shadow’, Howard became a successful commercials director working worldwide for top brands such as Unilever, Nestle, Guinness (Diageo) Proctor and Gamble, for international agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Lowe Lintas, McCann’s & DDB, creating numerous successful and award-winning campaigns.

He then went on to direct and co-write The Ford Brother’s ‘The Dead’, shot in Africa, which became a global and critical success and in 2012 a number one selling horror movie in America following it’s theatrical releases. The continued fan base spawned a sequel, ‘The Dead 2: India’ (shot in Mumbai, Rajasthan and Delhi), which became the opening film at the UK’s biggest genre festival FrightFest at the 1450 seater Empire One, Leicester square.

Following on from this, Howard’s female driven thriller, ‘Never Let Go’, shot in Morocco/Spain/US was voted Best Independent Film of 2016 at The National Film Awards (Beating Multi Oscar Nominated ‘Carol’ and Sean Penn’s ‘The Gunman to the title). Released by Sony Pictures across North America, it has also been a successful title on Netflix, Amazon Prime and numerous other global platforms.

Howard took a detour to embark upon a very personal project to ‘get kids off devices and back outdoors’ : A family film, ‘Adventure Boyz‘, shot with not only actors from Harry Potter, World War Z and Tomb Raider, but also his own kids Rory and Felix Ford & himself as their on-screen Speedway racing father. Released in theatres(Limited) and global platforms.

Howard didn’t let the recent global pandemic stop him and during the first UK lock-down he shot a feature film ‘The Lockdown Hauntings’, shot with no crew whatsoever, but a lot of known actors including Tony Todd (from ‘Candyman / Final Destination / The Rock’) which has been released via both streaming and theatrical through UK distributor Altitude Films)
