Check out our Zoom Interview with writer/director Chris Green about his new British indie film THE PEBBLE AND THE BOY, out Friday August 27th, 2021 in UK Cinemas.

THE PEBBLE AND THE BOY is a coming of age drama starring Patrick McNamee as John, the son of a recently deceased Mod from the early 1980s whose wish is to spread his ashes at the spiritual home of the Mods and Rockers (and QUADROPHENIA (1979)), the Brighton seafront.

Throw in a couple of Paul Weller tickets, an eager daughter of his father’s friend, Nicki (Sasha Parkinson), a road trip of discovery – and you have all the makings of a classic British youth drama that stands on its’ own, even if its’ biggest influence seemingly is the classic Who film starring Phil Daniels and featuring the likes of Philip Davis, Leslie Ash and Sting in some of their early roles.

In the interview with Film and TV Now Contributing Writer John Higgins, Chris reflects on the challenges, development, production and the contribution of Paul Weller, whose music can be heard throughout the film.

The film also features celebrated British talent like Jesse Birdsall and Patsy Kensit.
