Crimson Peak

Universal Pictures has released a new poster for the highly anticipated movie CRIMSON PEAK.

CRIMSON PEAK is one of the most intriguing films to arrive this year and after a summer of big blockbusters including SOUTHPAW starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Cruise‘s latest movie MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE ROGUE NATION it’s a good time for some spine-tingling thrillers to put the audience in the Halloween mood.

Guillermo del Toro’s CRIMSON PEAK is set in the early 1900s and revolves around an idealistic young author Edith (Mia Wasikowska) who’s torn between the love of two very different men: Trusted childhood friend Alan McMichael (PACIFIC RIM’s Charlie Hunnam) and intriguing outsider Sir Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston). The mysteriousness of the latter comes with the ominous presence of his sister Lady Lucille Sharpe (Jessica Chastain). Edith’s choice unknowingly leads her into an actual house of horrors, one that breathes and bleeds.

As one may have already guessed, there are a few more residents in the house than the mere mortals already mentioned, but also it would seem that Sir Thomas and Lady Lucille have some sinister motive for bringing Edith into their home…

Been hiding under a rock and not yet seen the trailer? Then take a look at the utterly brilliant video below:

CRIMSON PEAK arrives in cinemas October 16th, 2015.
