Guardians of the Galaxy, The Fault In Our Stars and Bad Neighbours Lead MTV Movie Awards Nominations

The MTV nominees for the 2015 MTV Movie Awards have been announced and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, THE FAULT IN OUR STARS and BAD NEIGHBOURS lead this year’s nominations with seven nods each.

The big category which is likely to garner a lot of attention is the Movie of the Year category, which sees THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY – PART 1, AMERICAN SNIPER, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, GONE GIRL, THE FAULT IN OUR STARS, BOYHOOD, WHIPLASH and SELMA all vying to win the award.

AMERICAN SNIPER’s Bradley Cooper is nominated for Best Male Performance alongside Ansel Elgort, Chris Pratt, Miles Teller and Channing Tatum.

The ladies who will be battling it out for the Best Female Performance are Emma Stone, Shailene Woodley, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lawrence and Scarlett Johansson – that looks to be a tough category to choose from!

Of course in traditional MTV style, there will be the funny categories to enjoy as well including Best Kiss and Best Shirtless Performance, where Zac Efron will try to defend his crown against Pratt, Tatum, Elgort and THE OTHER WOMAN’s Kate Upton.

This year, the 2015 MTV Movie Awards will be hosted live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles by Amy Schumer on April 12th at 8pm.
