Disney’s hit film Frozen looks as though it is set for a sequel along with a possible stage version of the film.
Although Disney hasn’t officially confirmed the go ahead for the sequel, Idina Menzel, the voice of Elsa, has already stated that it is all ‘in the works’.
The 2013 Disney hit went on to win the Oscar for Best Animated Film along with an Oscar for ‘Let it Go’, plus it earned more than $1.27 billion worldwide.
It is almost logical that a Frozen sequel happens based on those impressive statistics. Disney have already seen their main characters Elsa and Anna duplicated in ABC’s ONCE UPON A TIME, whilst planning to release a short film featured around the characters in 2015.
Menzel has confirmed that she has no idea what is happening with the stage version of the film, but she hopes to be a part of the film. Although the producers previously stated that there are no plans for a follow up, Menzel’s comments seem to suggest otherwise.
Until it is confirmed Frozen fans will simply have to look forwards to the short film in 2015.
