This year’s San Diego Comic Con has unveiled lots of brand new trailers and snippets from upcoming films and WARCRAFT was no exception.
All of those Hall H attendees were able to see a presentation with Duncan Jones, but the director has taken to Twitter to confirm that all of us unfortunate people who weren’t in the room will have to wait a while yet before we get to see it – unless like the SUICIDE SQUAD trailer there is an early release in the form of a leak online…
But we want it now, Mr Jones!
Yes, us impatient human beings (like me) will have to wait four months, yes, FOUR MONTHS until we get to see the trailer, but we have not been left empty handed as we have been given some fantastic posters for the upcoming feature-length film. It will serve as an origin to the greater, ongoing conflicts between the Alliance and the Orcish Horde. At the forefront, we will have Sir Anduin Lothar of the human Alliance, played by Travis Fimmel who is utterly brilliant in VIKINGS and we can imagine him being as equally worthy of his warrior status in this and he is joined by Durotan of the orc Horde, played by Tobey Kebbell (ROCKNROLLA, and the FANTASTIC FOUR reboot).
The film will feature both sides of the conflict and give both new and old fans a beautiful look at the great world of Warcraft.
With acclaimed science fiction director Duncan Jones (MOON, SOURCE CODE) at the helm, this movie seems on the right track. So for now, we will just sit here and stare at the posters – not the trailer. Grrrr….
WARCRAFT is currently slated for release June 10th, 2016.
