Poltergeist

The new trailer for the Poltergeist movie is out and it reminds us that clowns aren’t funny at all…

Horror fans prepare yourselves because POLTERGEIST is back. This time around Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt step in as the doomed parents in this spiritual home invasion, desperately trying to save their eight year old daughter (Kennedi Clements) from the terrifying spirits attempting to claim her life.

Director Gil Kenan has delivered a solid effort with this trailer, especially since this is his first crack at the horror genre – not counting his animated kids movie MONSTER HOUSE. The production team decided to stay pretty close to the original material from director Tobe Hooper, reshaping much of the original dialogue.

Jam-packed with jump scares and all the necessary creepy ghosts and ghouls you’d expect from a POLTERGEIST remake, Kenan and the crew have done a great job of bringing this 1982 flick back to life. Here’s the official synopsis:

Legendary filmmaker Sam Raimi (“Spiderman,” “Evil Dead”, “The Grudge”) and director Gil Kenan (“Monster House”) contemporize the classic tale about a family whose suburban home is haunted by evil forces. When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and hold the youngest daughter captive, the family must come together to rescue her before she disappears forever.

Are you brave enough to check out this latest trailer? POLTERGEIST hits theatres July 24th 2015.
