Dracula Untold poster
Luke Evans looks a great fit for the role of Vlad the Impaler in forthcoming movie Dracula Untold.

Here is our first proper glimpse of Vlad the Impaler played by Luke Evans for the upcoming movie DRACULA UNTOLD.

Universal Pictures have released the official poster for the film, formerly known as DRACULA YEAR ZERO, which shows the Welsh actor (FAST & FURIOUS 6, IMMORTALS and THE HOBBIT) cloaked in bats, brandishing a sword and heavy armour, as he takes on the iconic role of Dracula in a new untold version.

It tells the dark story of how the man Vlad Tepes becomes Dracula.  The story follows real-life historical figure Prince Vlad of Transylvania, known as the inspiration for Dracula, as his wife and child find themselves in danger from a despicable sultan in the 1400’s.

After the king of the land reigned peacefully for ten years, he risks his very soul to save them and you will witness how Dracula is born.

Gary Shore is the director in his first feature film and Michael De Luca produces the epic action-adventure that co-stars Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, Diarmaid Murtagh and Samantha Barks.

The release date for the movie has been postponed three times, but DRACULA UNTOLD will hit cinema screens October 17th this year.  Judging from the poster, the movie looks set to bring a great combination of horror and drama to the silver screen.  Now all we are waiting for is the trailer!
