We have been waiting a while to see them and finally the first photos from Duncan Jones’ highly secretive WARCRAFT movie have been released and there may be a familiar face lurking behind the character…
Those of you who are familiar with British TV series EASTENDERS may remember former star Rob Kazinsky, who is playing the fearsome Orgrim the Orc in the film.
The images first appeared on Wired as part of the magazine’s celebration of VFX wizards ILM who helped transform the British actor using the magic of CGI. Orgrim’s startlingly believable rendition is a combination of concept art provided by Blizzard, and photos and scans of actor Kazinsky, which were merged together to create the fearsome beast.
It feels like WARCRAFT (which is based on the hit video game ‘World of Warcraft‘) has been in production for a long time, but in fact, filming finished over a year ago, so we are hoping that over the coming months we will get to see more from the movie.
British actor Kazinsky has done well for himself since leaving EASTENDERS in 2009 having appeared in Guillermo Del Toro’s PACIFIC RIM and TV show TRUE BLOOD, but no doubt, the highly anticipated film will bring even more success for him and will prove to be his biggest project to date.
The film is directed by Duncan Jones, who was also the man responsible for SOURCE CODE and MOON.
Warcraft will storm into cinemas on June 10th, 2016.
