Fox Searchlight Pictures has released some first look images for the upcoming movie, WENDY. Take a look at the images below.
The classic story of Peter Pan is wildly reimagined in this ragtag epic from Benh Zeitlin, director of BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD. Lost on a mysterious island where aging and time have come unglued, Wendy must fight to save her family, her freedom, and the joyous spirit of youth from the deadly peril of growing up.
In the director’s chair for this one is Benh Zeitlin. He is on double duty for this one as he also wrote the screenplay for the film alongside his sister Eliza Zeitlin, which reimagines the iconic story of Peter Pan. Over the years, there has been many retellings of Peter Pan, but this new movie is different, as it’s told from the point of view of Wendy, the titular character. Benh Zeitlin is largely known for directing the indie MOVIEBEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD that was a Sundance Film Festival hit. The movie scored an Oscar nomination for Best Picture, and Zeitlin earned a Best Director nomination. This was then followed up
The cast is led by Devin France as Wendy and also includes Yashua Mack, Gage Naquin, Gavin Naquin, Romyri Ross, Ahmad Cage and Krzysztof Meyn.
