STARZ has released the first OUTLANDER Season 2 teaser
OUTLANDER fans, the wait is over to finally catch a glimpse of footage from the latest series, as STARZ has released the first-look teaser for Season 2 of the popular TV series.
The critically-acclaimed series adapted from Diana Gabaldon’s international best-selling books is executive produced by Ronald D. Moore and will return in Spring 2016. You can get a first look at some footage from Season 2 in the video player above.
The OUTLANDER Season 2 teaser is the first release for STARZ’ 25 Days of #OutlanderOfferings. Starting December 1, STARZ will release exclusive content across Twitter and Facebook, including never-before-seen OUTLANDER SEASON 2 photos, cast interviews, holiday recipes, and the chance to win special OUTLANDER store items.
Catriona Balfe, known for her roles in NOW YOU SEE ME and SUPER 8, plays the lead. Sam Heughan plays the charismatic warrior James MacKenzie Fraser, who the already-married Randall is forced to wed, sparking a passionate love affair that sees her heart torn between her two husbands.
OUTLANDER Season 2 begins as Claire and Jamie arrive in France, hell-bent on infiltrating the Jacobite rebellion led by Prince Charles Stuart, and stopping the battle of Culloden. With the help of his cousin Jared, a local wine merchant, Jamie and Claire are thrown into the lavish world of French society, where intrigue and parties are abundant, but political gain proves far less fruitful.
Altering the course of history presents challenges that begin to weigh on the very fabric of their relationship. However, armed with the knowledge of what lies ahead, Claire and Jamie must race to prevent a doomed Highland uprising, and the extinction of Scottish life as they know it.
