We have the opportunity for a first look at Ridley Scott’s latest sci-fi blockbuster THE MARTIAN starring Matt Damon who has once again returned to outer space fighting for survival on a desolate planet.
You may not be surprised to hear that Matt Damon’s role in THE MARTIAN is not too dissimilar to his 2013 role in Christopher Nolan’s INTERSTELLAR, where he is stranded on the Martian planet surface playing the role of astronaut Mark Watney. He is left fighting for his life after his fellow crew mistakenly leave him behind.
These first images provide a scintillating sneak peek into what we can expect from the movie and what we may see… But with so many popular movies set in Space such as APOLLO 13, INTERSTELLAR and GRAVITY to name but a few, are we likely to see anything new and different in Ridley Scott’s THE MARTIAN?
The movie is based on the award-winning novel, which tells the story of an astronaut being marooned in space and explores the possibility of colonising Mars.
Starring alongside Matt Damon in the movie is Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Jeff Daniels, Sebastian Stan and Donald Glover amongst others.
THE MARTIAN will be lighting up cinemas on November 27th, 2015.
