Twentieth Century Fox has released a first look trailer for 2016’s blockbuster movie, INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE, which you can watch above.
Roland Emmerich’s direct sequel to his 1996 blockbuster, INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE boasts a rather impressive cast with Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Judd Hirsch, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe and Sela Ward all on board the next movie in the franchise.
Twenty-two years in the making, INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE brings to life a script by Emmerich and Dean Devlin and James Vanderbilt, James A.Woods and Nicolas Wright.
Here is the official synopsis for the movie: We always knew they were coming back. After Independence Day redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens’ advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.
