Hobbs & Shaw review

The double act of the two leads creates great chemistry and charisma that pushes into different directions when on screen, and through the use of a sharp script, they are able to flesh these two out to be more than just balding bags of meat that smash things for fun. Their hatred for each other is a thriving pulse throughout the film and creates real moments of belly laughs and chuckles, especially when up against other impressive cameos who try to steal the show (not spoiled here!). Set pieces, directed by David Leitch, of John Wick and Deadpool fame, are over-the-top wild adventures through the streets of London, the abandoned buildings in Ukraine and the wildlands of Samoa. Every new place upping the ante in stakes and in spectacle. Seeing the film on the biggest and loudest screen possible is highly encouraged! The big classic Summer Blockbuster delivers on belly laughs, over the top action, beautiful globe trotting locations and a fantastic ensemble performances all round; be surprised by how mindlessly fun this movie is!
