There’s good news for fans of FANTASTIC BEASTS, as recent news has confirmed that production will commence on the third movie in the franchise in spring 2020 in Rio de Janeiro. The movie is scheduled for release on November 12th 2021.

The third instalment in the Harry Potter prequel has already experienced delays in shooting as it has changed from July, to autumn and now it has been confirmed for spring next year. Eddie Redmayne, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Katherine Waterson, Dan Fogler and Alison Sudol have all been confirmed to reprise their roles in the next instalment.

Warner Bros Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich explained the release delay in April, saying: “We all believe this release date will give the filmmakers time and space to allow their artistry to truly flourish and deliver the best possible film to our fans.”

Dan Fogler, who stars in the movie, has already shared the news of J.K Rowling working tirelessly on the screenplay but according to  reports, he hasn’t yet seen the script for the movie, but revealed his hopes for what may be in store for him and his girlfriend, Queenie from the persuasive powers of dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp).

“I hope that he gets Queenie back. … I haven’t seen a script yet, and I’ve lost a significant amount of weight, and I think it will be funny if — you know how she put a spell on me to follow her around like a puppy?” Fogler said. “What if she also put a spell on me to get fit? So there’s that. But also, on a philosophical level, it’ll be interesting… We’re in the middle of the Depression, he’s just on a bender of loss. He lost her … I’m just saying this is the thing that I have in my head, that he’s lost his appetite.”

There has also been rumours that the movie script or the content may be taking the story back to the 1930s.

In the director’s chair for this one is  Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them director David Yates (who also helmed the last four Harry Potter movies) who will be calling the shots on Fantastic Beasts 4 and Fantastic Beasts 5 too.
