It has been announced that Drake, Mr Drizzy himself, wants to return to acting. Few people are aware that the widely renowned recognised artist used to be an actor before he took up singing and rapping.
Drake has been quoted as saying : ‘I can’t wait to get back into acting.’ ‘No one ever asks me to do movies and, although music is my focal point now, I’d love to do film.’
He went onto say : ‘That was the life I lived before, and it would be interesting to live again.’ At the age of 15 Drake starred as “Jimmy Brooks” on the Canadian show, ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’, for a total seven seasons until he left to pursue a music career.
The 28 year old from Toronto added, ‘Back then, I’d spend a full day on set and then go to the studio to make music. I’d sleep in my dressing room and then be in front of the cameras again by 9am.
Eventually, they realised I was juggling two professions and told me I had to choose.’
Apart from small TV appearances since joining record label Young Money in 2010, the only roles Drake has had since were in the movie ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’ and ‘Ice Age: Continental Drift.’
