While THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY – PART 2 is still several months away from release, Lionsgate is beginning to step up its promotions with the release of a new one sheet.
The poster is certainly a sight to behold, as we see Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) asking the people to unite for a revolution and get rid of President Snow (Donald Sutherland) once and for all. In the poster above we see the ruthless ruler sat on his thrown headless, with the infamous mockingjay symbol painted on with blood (presumably his) where his head once was…
With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow ( Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.
