After the viral success of the leaked Deadpool footage, fans have been impatiently waiting for Fox to finally relent and green light the movie. To the delight of many, Twentieth Century Fox have finally given Deadpool a release date and it’s set to reach the big screen on February 12th, 2016.

Tim Miller is still set to direct the movie, which has been long awaited for, but as of yet, there has been no confirmation that Ryan Reynolds will definitely take on the lead role. Don’t panic though Reynolds fans, according to reports, it is merely a formality and the American actor will eventually sign on the dotted line after the formalities are cleared up.

Other uncertainties surrounding the movie remain to be seen. Will they stick within their tight $50 million budget that had previously been linked to the project? Are they going to use the draft written by Rhett Rheese and Paul Wernick?

Production is likely to start at the beginning of the year and it seems as though the film will be bringing us a few surprises…
