It is official, folks! Daniel Craig has confirmed what many have suspected over the last couple of months – he is coming back as James Bond.

The British actor made the confirmation whilst on the US chat show, THE LATE SHOW. When questioned about whether he will play the infamous 007 again, he did indeed reveal the truth: “Yes,” Daniel told host Stephen Colbert, before standing up to shake his hand.

Daniel Craig has played the secret agent for the past four films and after making comments such as ‘he would rather slash his wrists than make another Bond film’, it seems 007 has made a bit of a u-turn.

The actor winced at the recollection of that statement before explaining: “Look, there’s no point in making excuses about it, but it was two days after I’d finished shooting the last movie. I went straight into an interview and someone said would you do another one and I went ‘No!’

“And instead of saying something with style and grace I gave a really stupid answer.”

This is the first time that Craig has declared that he will play James Bond after refusing in recent months to discuss whether or not he would take on the role one more time.

Whilst discussing Bond on the show, Craig also confessed he knew for a couple of months that he would be the man leading the franchise once more.

“We’ve been discussing it, we’ve just been trying to figure things out,” he said. “I always wanted to, I needed a break.”

So that is great news for the many fans who love Daniel Craig as James Bond, however, he has confirmed that this will definitely be his last film playing the spy:

“I just want to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.”

So there we have it. Speculation over. Daniel Craig WILL BE Bond once more.
