Dakota Johnson may be adding a new film to her CV, as the Fifty Shades of Grey actress has reportedly engaged in talks to star in Olivia Wilde’s next project, the thriller DON’T WORRY DARLING.

It has already been confirmed that Florence Pugh, Shia LaBeouf and Chris Pine will all be starring in the film and Dakota Johnson could be a further great addition to the cast.

Wilde has already shown her behind the camera skills when directing BOOKSMART and the filmmaker will be back at it once again for this new movie. New Line has bought the rights to make and distribute the film, which Booksmart co-writer Katie Silberman is working on. Wilde will be in the director’s chair bringing to life a script penned by Shane and Carey Van Dyke.

Don’t Worry Darling is  a psychological thriller which is set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert. All that is known about the movie at this stage is that Florence Pugh has taken on the role of a housewife whose life is not all what it seems and the truth becomes outed.

Wilde will be spinning many hats with this one. Not only is she directing the movie, but she will also be starring in it and producing it too.

Florence Pugh has enjoyed a lot of success of late having been nominated for a supporting actress Oscar and BAFTA Award for her portrayal of Amy March in Greta Gerwig’s in Little Women. Her CV continues to grow after starring in Midsommar, Outlaw King and the miniseries The Little Drummer Girl. She can next be seen in Disney/Marvel’s Black Widow, which has a delayed cinematic release due to the current coronavirus pandemic.

LaBeouf was seen in his autobiographical feature Honey Boy last year, which he wrote and starred in, as well as the indie feature The Peanut Butter Falcon. He has just finished filming Pieces of a Woman

Pine can next be seen in Wonder Woman 1984 and has just finished working on action-thriller Violence of Action.
